Preparing ECD

In January 2024, we will start up again the Early Childhood Development Center. We prepared for the dry season, where lack of water hampers the correct functioning of the Center especially hygiene training and cleaning.

Therefore, we installed a 13 000 liter underground water reservoir and a 3000 liter PE tank. Rainwater will be collected from the roof of the school building into the reservoir and the tank. From the reservoir it will be pumped into the tank.

From the upper tank the water will flow through a UV disinfection system into a washtub, where the children wash their hands, coming from the restrooms.
